Bear in mind, this project requires some soldering (fine soldering at some points) which can be a dangerous activity. Please make sure you have an adult nearby that can help you or you may risk injury to yourself and permanent damage to your Engduino!

So you're ready to give this a shot. Below you find a list of the components you will need, a circuit diagram and the code you need to upload to your Engduino to make it react to the music. There is also a PDF with a full explanation and instructions. Most of these components are very cheap and can be found at many electronics stores. Maplin has all of them and though not the cheapest source they have a store in most towns and are very helpful.  If you build this with components from Maplin, it should cost you no more than £12.
